A study of development on symbolic play ability, play-based functioning, mother-child interaction following play therapy intervention in reactive attachment disorder

Abstract
This research is about comparing symbolic play ability and other cognitive development domain, which is systematiced by social age, before and after the fact dividing the group to reactive attachment disorder and normal children seeing how mother-child interaction effects. The result of the study is as followed. First, we saw if there was a difference between the reactive attachment disorder and normal children, who was organized by social age and cognitive level, in symbolic play test after the examination. As a result, we find out that reactive attachment disorder children showed a lot of improvement at the symbolic play score after the examination then the normal children. Second, we saw if there was a difference in the field of TPBA at free play situation between reactive attachment disorder and normal children. As a result, the total score of TPBA show a important difference. At the low level of the test reactive attachment disorder children showed a lot of improvement when the normal children did not. After the examination they improved at joint attention and emotion exchange in concentration domain, object search and simplicity association connection in initial use of object domain, immediate imitation in imitation skill domain. Third, we saw the difference in parent-child interaction play assessment between the reactive attachment disorder and normal children. As a result, there was no change with normal children when active attachment disorder children showed a lot of improvement before the examination. Especially they showed a lot of improvement at parent emotion, violation, praise, attention and development sensitivity which is in parent-child interaction subcategory. This shows us the important of parents effecting the child.
